Crossroads to Close Prospect Terrace Charity Shop

After an incredible 15 years, our Prospect Terrace Charity Shop will be closing its doors for the final time this month.

Prospect Terrace was our very first charity shop and over the years has not only served as an important source of income for our charity, but also as a welcoming and friendly place for anyone to come to, whether that has been to shop, socialise or just to say hello. It has been at the heart of our community for so many years and we are grateful to everyone who has supported it in some way.

With that, we have a few thank yous we would like to make.

Firstly, to our amazing customers. Prospect Terrace wouldn’t have been the success it was without your continued support and we are so grateful to everyone who has made a purchase in the shop. We would also like to thank anyone who has ever made a donation to our shops as without your generosity they wouldn’t be a success.

Our next thank you has to go to our incredible team of staff and volunteers, past and present. Some of our volunteers have been with us since the very beginning, and without them and all of our volunteers over the years, the shop would not have been able to operate. Their enthusiasm and passion has made the shop the success it’s been, and we are so grateful to everyone who has worked in or volunteered over the last 15 years.

Lastly, we would like to thank our wonderful local community for their continued support. All of the money raised in our charity shops helps us to support our Island’s carers and their loved ones and every penny raised from Prospect Terrace has enabled us to do this, so thank you.

Whilst we are sad to see our Prospect Terrace Charity Shop go, we are excited that our other three shops are continuing to grow, especially our new Tynwald Street shop which has seen great success since it’s opening. Tynwald Street is only a short distance away from Prospect Terrace and we have had some lovely feedback about it. We hope that if you haven’t already popped in you will consider going for a look around to see what it has to offer and we are sure you will notice its similarities to Prospect Terrace. We also now have our upstairs Community Space where you can have a cuppa and catch up with friends.

Our last day of trading at Prospect Terrace will be Thursday 30th November. Between now and then, everything in store is £1 with some special bargains coming too!

We would also love to hear from anyone who has any memories of the shop or anyone who has worked or volunteered there, so if you do have any please feel free to leave us a comment or pop into the shop.

We do have a few special things planned for our last day which we will share with you soon, but for now we just want to say thank you and we hope that if you can, you pop in one last time for a final bargain or chat.
