Independent Care Assistant

Crossroads has a new role available for Independent Care Assistants. 

We are looking for individuals with a caring and friendly nature to support clients with retaining their independence in their own homes or out in the community. This a new role, and will involve tasks such as shopping for clients, companionship, domestic tasks and transportation. This role does not involve personal care.

Qualifications and experience are preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants should be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle as clients can be based anywhere on Island.

Hours are dependent on the needs of our clients and may include early mornings, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

This is a zero-hours contract role, and the rate of pay is £11.00 per hour.

Nursery Practitioner

Crossroads is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and enthusiastic to work in our fully inclusive nursery and support preschool children, with and without additional care needs.

A Cache Level 3 Award or equivalent is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

This role is for 35 hours per week, and the rate of pay is £11.38 for an unqualified practitioner and £12.88 for a Level 3 qualified practitioner.

This is a relief/bank post to provide cover for staff absences and holidays, and busy periods and the rate of pay is £11.38 for an unqualified practitioner and £12.88 for a Level 3 qualified practitioner.

Care Practitioner

Crossroads is looking for Care Practitioners to join our team.

We are looking for individuals who are friendly, professional and versatile to support people with care needs in a variety of settings including in our Day Services Centre, in our clients' own homes and out in the community.

Qualifications and experience are preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants should be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle as clients can be based anywhere on Island.

Hours are dependent on the needs of our clients and may include early mornings, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

We have both full time and part time contracts available for this role, and the rate of pay is £11.78 per hour for a worker with no qualifications, £12.50 for a worker with a Level 2 qualification and £13.39 for a worker with a Level 3 qualification.

Residential Care Practitioner

Crossroads is looking for a Residential Care Practitioner to join our team.

We are looking for someone to support children with care needs overnight in either our clients’ homes or in other residential settings.

Qualifications and experience are preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants should be able to drive and have access to their own car as clients can be based anywhere on Island.

This is a guaranteed hours per week role, and the rate of pay is £11.78 per hour for a worker with no qualifications, £12.50 for a worker with a Level 2 and £13.39 for a worker with a Level 3. There is also an additional overnight supplement for this role.

Minibus Driver

Crossroads is looking for a Minibus Driver to transport our clients to and from their homes and our Day Services Centre.

Applicants must have a clean driving licence and be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.

This role is for 16 hours per week which will be worked over four days (two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon). The rate of pay for this role is £10.90 per hour.

Delivery Driver (Bank)

Due to the growth of our charity shops, Crossroads is looking for Delivery Drivers to help us with our collection and delivery services to and from our shops.

We are looking for individuals who can deliver a professional and friendly service to our generous donators and customers, and who can lift and carry furniture safely.

Applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes and have a full, clean driving licence.

This is a relief/bank post to provide cover for staff absences and holidays, and applicants should be free to work on a Saturday when needed.

The rate of pay for this role is £11.38 per hour.
