OUR JOURNEY
Crossroads was set up in 1988 and over the past 35 years has continually grown it's services to meet the wants and needs of local carers.
1988
The Crossroads Care Attendant Scheme was established 
 providing a Care at Home service from Masham Court
1997
The charity became Crossroads 
 Caring for Carers Isle of Man

Our first Young Carers 
 group was set up
 
									 
								2003
Our Playgroup started
 
									 
								2004
Our social club was established
We became a network member of The Princess Royal Trust for 
 Carers and the charity’s refurbished building at Derby Square 
 was officially opened by Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal
2007
The first Young Carer’s Festival was 
 held in the Isle of Man
We were a winner at the Awards of 
 Excellence for the first time
 
								2008
Our first charity shop was opened
2010
Crossroads Community Venture was set up and Social Enterprises 
 Isle of Man was formed
2011
Our first annual Bikers Breakfasts 
 for TT was held
The Manx Foundation for the Physically 
 Disabled closed and Crossroads took over 
 their services, transport and premises at 
 Masham Court
 
								2012
The charity renamed from Crossroads Caring for Carers 
 to Crossroads Care
								 
								2014
We opened a new 
 nursery facility behind 
 Mashsam Court
 
									 
								2015
We moved to our current office at Eden Business 
 Park and opened a new workshop for Crossroads 
 Community Venture
 
								2016
Crossroads’ ASK project was launched
2019
We published our report ‘The State of Caring in the 
 Isle of Man 2018-2019’ 
Crossroads Care became Crossroads
2021
Crossroads took over the Manx 
Workshop for the Disabled
                                        Now known as Crossroads Manx Workshop
