Nursery Practitioner

Crossroads is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our Children's Services team.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and enthusiastic to work in our fully inclusive nursery and support preschool children, with and without additional care needs.

A Cache Level 3 Award or equivalent is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

This role is for 37.5 hours per week, and the rate of pay is £13.11 for an unqualified practitioner and £14.45 for a Level 3 qualified practitioner.

Shop Worker (Bank)

Building on the success of our charity shops, Crossroads is looking for a friendly and organised individual to join our team as a Shop Worker.

We are looking for someone who has good people skills and who can work in a fast-paced environment whilst delivering an excellent and friendly service to our customers and donators.

Applicants should also be able to safely lift and carry boxes as we receive regular donations.

This is a relief/bank post to provide cover for staff absences and holidays, including Saturdays, in all three of our charity shops.

The rate of pay for this role is £12.84 per hour.

Care Practitioner

Crossroads is looking for Care Practitioners to join our team.

We are looking for individuals who are friendly, professional and versatile to support people with care needs in a variety of settings including in our Day Services Centre, in our clients' own homes and out in the community.

Qualifications and experience are preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants should be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle as clients can be based anywhere on Island.

Hours are dependent on the needs of our clients and may include early mornings, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

We have guaranteed full time and part time contracts available for this role, and the rate of pay is £13.38 per hour for a practitioner with no qualifications, £14.45 for a practitioner with a Level 2 qualification, and £15.25 for a practitioner with a Level 3 qualification.

Delivery Driver / Maintenance Worker (Bank)

Due to the popularity of our charity shops and the Crossroads Manx Workshop, we are looking for someone to join our team of bank staff.

We are looking for someone to help us with our collection and delivery service, and ensure our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest possible standard in a safe, effective and economic manner. Tasks will include general maintenance, light repairs and window cleaning.

We are also looking for someone who can deliver a professional and friendly service to our generous donators and customers, and who can lift and carry furniture safely.

Applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes and have a full, clean driving licence.

This is a relief/bank post and applicants may be required to work on a Saturday when needed.

The rate of pay for this role is £12.84 per hour.

Skills Café Support Worker

Crossroads has an exciting new role available for someone who has the drive and enthusiasm to grow our developing Skills Café.

Our Skills Café is located in our Tynwald Street Community Space and is run by individuals with disabilities. The Café helps to teach them new skills whilst gaining experience.

We are looking for someone who can run a small community café, and supervise, teach and encourage our team in a safe and supportive environment. We are also looking for someone who can provide a high quality service to our customers.  

This role is for 30 hours per week which will be worked 9.30am to 3.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday. This is initially a fixed term six month contract, and the rate of pay is £14 per hour.
