Crossroads to Assist DHSC with Home Care Services

Crossroads will be partnering with the DHSC during the current COVID-19 pandemic to deliver their Home Care service.

From this week our team will be providing care to people in their homes on behalf of the DHSC for a 15 week period. The aim of this partnership is to free-up the Department’s Community Support Service team to support vulnerable people in residential homes for older people, dementia care and adults with learning disabilities.

Crossroads has been providing home care services for over 30 years and our staff have the flexibility and professionalism to adapt to this project. All staff members have received additional training to ensure they are best equipped to provide the Home Care service, and all will have adequate PPE to ensure their safety and that of service users.

We are incredibly proud of our team for coming together to take on this project, and we are certain that they will do a fantastic job!

We would like to make it clear that all of our current service users will still be receiving their usual care and our Care at Home and ASK services are still running as normal.

We would also like to clarify that this is a short-term solution to help assist the DHSC, and we would like to thank them and the Government for their help over the past few weeks in helping us set up the service.

It has been wonderful to see so many charities across the Island adapt to the current situation and provide support where it is most needed. We feel honoured that Crossroads has been asked to help our Island’s community during this time of need, and feel proud to be playing a part in keeping people safe and well.
