On Friday 9th November, leading Island technology and telecoms provider Wi-Manx will be holding a fundraiser across the Isle of Man to help local charity Crossroads Care raise £5,000 towards it’s £30,000 Isle of Man Newspapers appeal target in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
All schools, businesses and organisations across the Island are invited to take part in the fundraiser and wear something blue on the day for a £1 donation. Organisations can also hold their own fundraisers, such as a cake sale, on the day.
Together with Wi-Manx, Crossroads have coined the initiative ‘Blue Day’, and Wi-Manx have very kindly launched the appeal with a £500 contribution. Crossroads’ Fundraising Events Coordinator Megan Faragher has said: “We are delighted to be working with Wi-Manx on this exciting project and would like to thank them for their generous donation and support.”
Schools and businesses are being asked to confirm their participation by contacting Megan on firstname.lastname@example.org.
